ABOUT US

Luge Australia is the governing body of Australia’s fastest winter athletes, proudly guiding the nation’s journey in the world’s quickest sliding sport.

Since our Olympic debut at Albertville 1992, when Diane Ogle became the first Australian to represent her country in luge, our athletes have continued to break new ground on the world stage. Roger White followed as Australia’s first male Olympian in Lillehammer 1994, before Hannah Campbell-Pegg carried the torch as our third Olympian and first dual luge Olympian at Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010. Alex Ferlazzo emerged through the Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck 2012 to become our fourth Olympian and, in time, Australia’s first triple luge Olympian, representing the nation at Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022, where he achieved a 16th-place finish.

Today, Luge Australia is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of sliders, expanding participation, and supporting high-performance athletes as they push Australian luge to new speeds and new heights.
